Venting kilns has become more common and has many advantages. Vents that draw air down from the top of the kiln and out the bottom not only remove heat and fumes, but can also improve the quality of colors and finishes. Make sure you have adequate ventilation around the kiln if you decide not to add a vent right away. Most vents are simple to add later, should you decide it is necessary.
