March 9 and 10: Reception and Workshop with Fong Choo – internationally known for his diminutive teapots and excellent workshops! We are honored to offer a reception with the artist (free and open to the public)on Friday evening 5:00-7:30 in The Co-op & Galleries and then Saturday 9:00-3:00 for Fong’s workshop in The Clay Lady’s Studio. He will not only be demoing but sharing his glazing techniques, bamboo handle technique and making his handmade tools. This workshop is $175. We are offering an early registration discount of $125. Saturday March 24, 1:30-2:30 p.m. in The Artist Co-op & Galleries- we are so fortunate to have a National Treasure Sylvia Hyman scheduled for a book signing of her retrospective The Intriguing Vision of Sylvia Hyman. Books will be available for the discounted price of $90. We suggest you RSVP for this event to reserve your book. You do not need to purchase a book to attend, just meeting this legend is an opportunity you do not want to miss. We are starting a new series, “Clay Conversations,” to be held on the last Friday night of the month from 4:30-7 p.m. From 4:30-5:30 we will have fellowship and beverages in The Co-op Event Room, then from 5:30-7 (or so) we will have different artists teaching techniques or providing interesting lectures in The Clay Lady’s Studio.
